About Dr. Cerato


Amy Cerato is a Rapp Foundation Presidential Professor and a recipient of the 2009 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).  Dr. Cerato is a geotechnical engineer whose research includes predicting expansive soil behavior using microscale properties and foundation design for alternative energy. 


Here, she talks with Dr. R.C. Davis-Undiano on Current Conversations about the importance of Geotechnical Engineering in society and bringing engineering concepts to our youth early and often.
